Performance-Based Partnership Model
Low monthly retainer + percentage of sales generated by the copy I write.
Here’s how it works:
Monthly Retainer:
Covers my time for strategy, research, writing, testing, and optimization.
Think of this as your “reserve my attention” investment.
Performance Bonus:
I earn 2-5% of gross sales after ad spend is recouped daily.
Example:
Daily ad spend: $10,000
Daily sales: $34,387
Net daily sales: $24,387
My performance bonus: 2-5% of $24,387 = $488-$1,219
Why this works:
You’re not gambling on whether the copy will work—I only win if you win
I’m incentivized to write copy that actually converts (not just “sounds good”)
We’re aligned on the same outcome: more revenue

What’s the typical retainer?
Depends on scope, volume, and complexity. We’ll discuss during the discovery call based on your specific needs.
How do you track sales attribution?
We agree up front on the tracking methodology—typically through your ad platform, CRM, or analytics tool. Transparency is essential.
What if the copy doesn’t convert?
If the copy doesn’t generate sales, I don’t earn performance bonuses. That’s the risk I take. But I also bring 30 years of experience and documented results — so I’m confident in what I deliver.
Do you write the first version, then optimize?
Yes. I create initial copy based on research and strategy, then continuously test and optimize based on performance data.
How long do these partnerships typically last?
Most performance-based partnerships run 6-12 months minimum. Copy rarely performs optimally on Day 1—it requires testing, iteration, and optimization.
What happens if we need to part ways?
We agree on attribution windows (typically 30-90 days), so any sales generated by copy I wrote are tracked fairly. Clean exit terms are established upfront.

If you have to ask what it costs, this probably isn’t the right fit.
Not because I’m expensive.
Because if you’re focused on cost rather than ROI, we’re not aligned.
